Arsenal Close to Signing Dutch Youngster
Arsenal are looking to sign Feyenoord youngster Luc Castaignos, however there is a caveat. The youngster would like to spend next season on loan at Feyernoord. If this is the price to pay to sign another promising youngster, then that is a small price to pay. In fact if the lad is prepared to sign a 5 year contract, Arsenal should go further and offer him a 2 year loan deal with Feyernoord.
The boy will be able to get first team experience at Feyernoord, something that Arsenal will be unable to offer him in the short term.
”Luc needs to develop at his own pace,” Castaignos’ agent Arie Treffers told Sportweek. “For this reason he will be best served by remaining here.
”He realises that this move will be good for his career, but he will only sign for Arsenal if the club is prepared to let him stay on loan.
”If that does not happen he will remain under contract at Feyenoord.”
This is a clear sign that talks are at an advance stage between Arsenal and Feyernoord, if Arsenal agree to the terms of the loan deal, then something could happen in the next few days.
