What is the Future of Arsenal TV?

Setanta Sports is in financial crisis.  Setanta failed to pay the SPL £3million last week and are locked in talks with their financiers to extract a minimum £50 million that they need to carry on operating.

So what I hear you ask?

Well Setanta Sports is the platform, on which Arsenal TV is broadcast. Setanta pay for the transponder and Arsenal are responsible for generating their own advertising revenue and programmes.

If Setanta go bust, where will that leave Arsenal TV?  MUTV and Chelsea TV are locked into Sky TV and offer their own subscription, so their income is greater than ours but so are their broadcasting hours. Will Arsenal go the way of their rivals if Setanta went bust or will Arsenal seek another partnership deal with another broadcaster?

One thing is for sure Arsenal need to have a mainstream television channel in addition to Arsenal TV Online.
