Arshavin Storm Brewing

A storm is brewing over our signing of Arshavin. Why? The paperwork was faxed from Arsenal to the FA / Premier League before the 5pm deadline. The FA said that so long as people can show that a deal was agreed in principal prior to 5pm deadline, they would allow the niceties to be finalised after the deadline.

Nobody knows why it took 24 hours for the FA to confirm the signing, all that we know is that on deadline day there was a skeleton staff at the Premier League offices due to the snow and they were catching up on paperwork the next day. The FA and the Premier League both confirmed that everything was in order and as for as they are concerned Arshavin beat the deadline.

We now have other managers and clubs, though none will come out in the open and state their case sniping behind our backs, claiming foul play.

Nobody has raised the matter of Tevez, who is on loan at Manchester United from what team nobody knows? The FA and Premier League have ignored Tevez who is owned by a consortium in contravention to FA regulations. Furthermore, the Premier League allowed Macherano to join Liverpool after the transfer window and again who received the transfer fee for this player? Both of these matters have been swept under the carpet. Last January the transfer of Benjani Mwaruwari from Portsmouth to Manchester City was not ratified until 5 days after the transfer deadline, and this was because the player fell asleep in the airport terminal.

My message to O’Neil and the others out there is shut up and get your own houses in order before you try to besmirch the fine name of Arsenal Football Club.

  1. I trust all was in order before the deadline. We are ARSENAL AND WE ARE EFFICIENT! O’Neil is worried because they will be running out of luck very soon!!
