Eduardo, Walcott and Rosicky On The Way Back
With all the latest Arshavin talk, we have some good news emerging from the injury front.
Eduardo is due to play another game next week behind closed doors and then he will play for Croatia. As long as there are no serious setbacks, Eduardo will be in contention for a recall in the next round of the FA Cup (so long as we get past Cardiff). This will be great news for all gooners. It will also give Arsene extra options, in that he can play either van Persie or Eduardo out wide in place of Eboue. It was this time last year that Eduardo started to hit the goals in the Premier League and it would be great to see him return and carry-on where he left-off.
Walcott is next player due back, probably at the end of February. Walcott took up the gauntlet this season, the challenge of regular first team football inspired the young Englishman, and since his hat-trick against Croatia, there was nothing to stop him. He created many chances for us and wreaked havoc amongst opponents defences. Walcott has been sorely missed and his return could come at a vital time.
The final returnee is our long absentee Rosicky. We last saw him in January 2008, leaving the field with an innocuoushamstring injury. Well the great news is that he could be available again for selection at the end of March. Little Mozart will be a great addition to the squad, he will add the extra creative spark that we have been missing, plus he will add scoring potential to the squad.
What we must hope for is that we are still in contention in all three competitions by the time they make their returns.
