The Title Race or Title Crawl

Never have so many teams tried so hard to ensure they do not win the title as they are doing this season.  People talk about a four horse race, but add Villa into this and do not dismiss them.

The problem this season is everyone slips up at the same time, all four top teams drew this weekend meaning we are as you were, a couple of weeks ago Arsenal lost away to Manchester City and we were written off.  The next week we go and win at Chelsea whilst Liverpool, Manchester United and Aston Villa all dropped points meaning that we actually made points on our rivals.

Wenger insists we are still in the title race, and in a perverse way he is right.  We have not lost ground on Liverpool or Chelsea and they had home games this week-end.  We need to strign a run of three or four victories and not only are back in the hunt but we could be topping the table.

There is a flip side to this though, we need to win three or four games on the spin.  That is our problem.  Currently we do not have the ability or character to put such a run together.

The title this season is there for grabs, the first team to put a set of wins together and that team could be out of sight.  If we can remain in the hunt until mid to late January, when hopefully Arsene has brought in two or three players and we could be in with a big shout for the title.

So come on Arsene, you knwo the players we need, go out and bring us the the players and with them the title.
