Champions League Preview
Qualification was assured in the previous game, giving Arsene the opportunity to rest several players. Nasri, Fabregas and Sagna are all ruled out with a minor injuries, whilst Adebayor ,van Persie, Toure ,and Clichy are all rested with one eye on Saturday’s lunch-time game against Middlesbrough.
Diaby is back in the squad and will once again play either behind Bendtner or on the left hand side of midfield. Eboue will play and I hope he plays in his favourite right- back position. This will help him put in a good display and if he scores, look out for the kissing of the badge!
Arsenal need a point to finish first in the group, but does that mean anything? If we finish first in the group we will play one of the following Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Sporting Lisbon, Villareal, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid. Not an easy tie in sight. If we are runners up our opponents could be Barcelona, Roma, Panathinaikos, Lyons and Juventus.
Tonight’s game will see Ramsey try and prove to Wenger once again he should be chosen ahead of Denilson, whilst Bendtner has yet another opportunity to show he can lead the line.
