Transfer Frenzy Never Stops at The Emirates
The transfer window is closed and bolted, but the intrigue never stops with Arsenal.
First we had the Appiah saga, that has gone very quiet with Portsmouth looking favourites to add to their collection of African players, wait for the moans from Redknapp in 2010 when the next African Cup of Nations takes place.
The Stephen M’Bia’s agent let the cat out of the bag that Arsenal had made a last minute bid for him which was turned down by Rennes. The press loved this and immediately installed M’Bia as our number one January target. Wenger rarely goes back for a player once he has been rejected, circumstances change, form alters and a whole host of other reasons.
It has now been revealed that former Hertha Berlin midfielder Mineiro, was on trial at Arsenal and even played in a closed door match. Wenger it appears has decided that Mineiro, a 33 year old former Brazilian international is not up to the rigours of the premiership.
Who, if anyone Wenger buys in January will keep journalists and bloggers goign for the next few months. What is certain is that Wenger will try and bring someone in in January, but as always someone off the radar.
