The news Arsenal fans have been waiting to hear all summer… Adebayor is on his way to Manchester City.
Manchester City have reportedly agreed a fee in the region of £20million for the want-away striker with Arsenal and the Togo striker and his agent are in Manchester to agree a contract. Personal terms are formality for the club with the biggest pockets in the world.
It comes at no surprise that Wenger has not stepped in to prevent the departure of the big man. Wenger went on record to say that if Adebayor wants to leave, then he will be allowed to leave. AC Milan have been very quiet over any move for Adebayor, unlike last season when they courted the Arsenal striker quite openly. Wenger has decided to cash in on the striker after an indifferent season, plus he has Eduardo at his disposal this season and Bendtner has grown in stature last season.
Wenger has already lined up a replacement and Bordeaux can expect a telephone call any day now as Arsenal look at securing the services of Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh. Wenger stated that Chamakh is an option if Adebayor leaves. It is widely reported that Chamakh has an £8million release clause, which leaves Arsene £12million from the Adebayor sale to spend on other players.

Looks like that ‘brochure’ did the trick.
we as arsenal fans will be very happy if wenger gives away adebayor, but he should aiso give AC milan considerations.
thats great wenger
Let’s get Huntelaar and Cana!
Chamakh is a huge downgrade from Ade and IMO won’t even see the field with a healthy attacking rotation of RVP, Bendtner, Vela, Eduardo etc.
Huntelaar on the other hand would and I think our attacking mid field will be good enough that all we need is a poacher like huntelaar to score goals
Well wenger knows best
