highburydaysMany stories doing the rounds indicate that Arsenal have wrapped up the signature of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso for £15M. Veloso has been on many clubs radar including Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton and AC Milan.
Veloso is 22 years old and is a dynamic central midfielder who can replicate the energy and creativity that has been lost with Flamini’s departure. Veloso gives Wenger another youngster, but a player who has international exposure and is one level above the likes of Denilson and Diaby. Wenger will be wise to rotate his four midfielders to ensure that everyone gets ample playing time and we do not lose Diaby or Denilson in the same way as we did with Diarra.
AS always we will have to wait another three hours to here confirmation our new number 23, Miguel Veloso.
