Song Returns

With Justin Hoyte leaving to join Middlesbrough, Arsenal’s ranks will be increased this week with the return from China of Cameroon International Alexandre Song.

Song’s Cameroon were knocked out of the Olympics at the quarter-final stage by Brazil.  With this early exit so ends the dreams of Song to come back with a gold medal.  His return will add to Arsene Wenger’s options, and despite Wenger stating that Song is not a central midfield player, he will consider using him there against FC Twente.

Meanwhile, it is a sad fairwell to Justin Hoyte who being a die hard Arsenal fan was tearful on finally realising that his career at Arsenal had come to and end, but he would have been the happiest player on Saturday at the Riverside as his new team Middlesbrough beat Tottenham and their £50M worth of new talents.
